2nd Annual State Capitol Taxpayers’ Protest

June 8, 2010 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Harrisburg State Capitol Building

Harrisburg, PA

Start to arrive at 9:00 a.m. at the front door of the Capitol Building off Third Street or at the back door off Commonwealth Avenue.

After you have made it through security, go to your respective state representative or senator’s office and sit in their chairs and on their floor, wherever you can find room.

If your legislator’s office is filled, find another’s office that isn’t!

Demand that your voice be heard!

If all the offices are filled join fellow taxpayers in the Main Capitol Rotunda near the front entrance and the Rotunda in the East Wing. Find a bench or a step and stay the full working day.

Wear comfortable attire and bring your bagged lunch. Prepare to stay the full working day to show YOUR legislator that as your public servant they WORK FOR YOU.

If enough Pennsylvania taxpayers fill all of the offices of the state representatives and senators, as well as the halls and rotundas, then it will be impossible for big government to ignore the call for fiscal responsibility!

Come spend a day at the State Capitol to deliver your grievances that our government is to serve “We the People” responsibly by passing a balanced budget and lowering taxes.

Tell them that they need to spend responsibly by reducing the tax burden for Pennsylvania taxpayers and that we want to keep more of OUR hard-earned money!

The power to tax involves the power to destroy. – John Marshall
